Slingback Flats

I have always been happy with Wills shoes. I have narrow feet and heels so the sling back can flap a bit when I walk but really like them .

I am so sad to write this review, as they are an otherwise beautiful pair of shoes, but they just have awful functionality.

The slingback part of the heel constantly falls down due to the elastic stretching and not being able to hold the slingback in place. It slips down even when you take just a few steps, and it is embarrassing when you are at work and have to keep bending down to adjust it again to the correct position on your heel. I replaced the elastic with some ribbons that wouldn't stretch, which was a huge improvement, but still not perfect and it is constantly just a little bit bent downwards out of shape. It would be better with a buckle instead of elastic, or just a classic ballet flat design, with a proper heel.

It is such a shame, as otherwise, the material is very high quality, and the vegan suede is lovely. The soles are very sturdy, the small heel is also a really nice height, and the shoes have a lovely overall shape to them.

These are shoes for a wedding next year and I’m trying on to get used to them

Unable to review these shoes as I was sent brown lace up brogues instead and then they were out of stock. Maybe need better IT systems in place to avoid requesting a review inappropriately!

I absolutely love this brand and these shoes - they were just what I was looking for! Also really good value.
