    Soles fall apart

Have had 3 pairs now. Soles have fallen apart on all of them. They know there are issues, which is why they’re now selling the welt sole version for £65 more. Don’t bother.
I expect they’ll delete this review.

    Hi Oliver,

I am really sorry this has happened to your boots. We are looking into why the outsoles came off your pairs. Generally you should not expect this to happen, the Rig Boots are one of most popular boots and thankfully this is a rare occurance.

For your peace of mind, we will always replace, refund or try to repair your purchases at any point if you are not happy - just let us know and we will take care of everything.

Just to say, introducing Goodyear versions of our most popular boots is something we have been working on for quite a while. We have already introduced Goodyear Chelsea Boots, now we have these Rig Boots in an updated Goodyear format, later this year we are introducing Goodyear Work Boots and Rangers. We love having Goodyear options because you cannot rival the look, feel and quality that goes into the construction stages of Goodyear, also over time being able to replace the outsoles at a cobblers makes the boots better value for money and helps reduce consumption.

    love them

If you like them, go for it. Excellent quality. I have wore them for a year, in the bad weather of the Netherlands :) and they definitely have still a new look. Of course I treat them with love, i don't go playing football with my kids with these boots or go hiking, but I use them quite often for work. From the vegan leather brands I have bought, this is the best, I actually just bought another pair of WVS boots, in big part because they are shoes that will last, which is the main point of sustainability...and off course they look and feel awesome.

    Great Comfort and Look

This is my second pair of boots I've ordered from this company and I haven't been disappointed. If this boots last me 2+ years I will be extremely happy!! I've read some of the reviews and people are acting like these boots are supposed to last a lifetime. That's a bit unrealistic in my opinion. If you are looking for well made, high end products that are ethically made then this is your store. With these boots I don't have to sacrifice comfort or style. The best thing about these boots is NO ANIMAL WAS HARMED! Now I can buy high end footwear and wear them with a clear conscience. Now add this companies over the top customer service and you can't find products sold at these affordable prices with 100% guarantee behind them. Once you buy a pair you will understand. I recommend sizing down half a size.

    Falling apart, after 2 years

Love the look and silhouette of these boots. Paying £105.00 at Third Estate which was a wonderful experience, at a beautiful shop.

Sadly, after 2-years of wear in London these boots are quickly falling apart. The tread is worn off, and now feels very thin. The seam for the right toe is coming apart, while the left heel has separated.

it’s unfortunate that a sustainable boot like this just doesn't last longer.

    Hi,

For your peace of mind, we will always replace, refund or try to repair your purchases at any point if you are not happy - just let us know and we will take care of everything.

We would like to replace these boots. When possible please can you reply back to the email we just sent to you with the best delivery address.

Love Them, But Soles Wear Out

I’ve owed two pairs of these boots and I love them. But sadly the soles wear out after about 12 months. They get thin, then split and let the water in. Shame, as the rest of the construction seems very sturdy and is nowhere near worn out by the time the soles give up.

    Hi,

I am so sorry this happened, you should expect your outsoles to last you for years.

For your peace of mind, we will always replace, refund or try to repair your purchases at any point if you are not happy - just let us know and we will take care of everything.
